 Selena Quintanilla Perez (Spanish pronunciation, [se'lenakinta'nija'peres]; April 16th, 1971 - March 31st, 1995), also known as Selena, is an American Tejano singer. Her contributions to music and fashion led to her being the "Queen" of Tejano music. She is one of the most prominent Mexican-American entertainers of late 20th century. Billboard magazine placed her at third place in 2020 in their "Greatest Latino Artists of All Time", which was built on Latin music as well as Latin albums. For her choice of clothing, media outlets called her the Tejano Madonna. Her fashion choices make her one of the most prominent Latin artists. Quintanilla Quintanilla.
