Paula Patton (born in 1960) is an American actress. She has also directed films such as Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Born into the middle class family in Los Angeles and had big dreams for her future. Instilling a passion for film in her daughter was something that she learned from her mother, who was also a fan of movies. Paula took part in school co-curricular activities and was particularly interested in drama. Her classmates and she played together and was a part of the school productions. After starring in numerous shows at her high school, Hamilton Magnet Arts High School, she decided to make acting her career. She was enrolled in the University of Southern California's Summer program and enjoyed it immensely. The program offered her a three-month contract to make documentaries on PBS. Once she had completed the task successfully, she started working as an assistant for television documentary production. Later, she moved on to producing documentaries. While she was awed by what she did but she was always wishing for the role of an actress. in the film romantic comedy Hitch she played a tiny part with Will Smith. Since then she has appeared in numerous film and television shows.
