April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball star from the United States She is one of a small group of women who have been awarded medals at multiple Olympics. Alix Klineman, playing for the first time at the Tokyo Olympics is hoping to secure her third medal. Ross is also hoping to win her first Olympic gold. At 39, it may be her last chance. Still confident nevertheless. Ross, via NBC Boston, said that when the team performs consistently or well it could be able to win gold. It's also going to be the result of luck. Ross is born in the year 1982. Costa Mesa California where she resided with her parents and her sister. She was able to participate in a myriad of sports during her time at Newport Harbor High School. The prep sports she played included indoor volleyball as well as basketball as well as track and running. She was clearly the best at the sport of indoor volleyball. In her own biography, during high school she was a volleyball player as an outside hitter (middle blocker) as well as a the setter (outside blocker). In recognition of her accomplishments she was awarded the Gatorade Award for National Player 1999. In 2000, she was named Orange County Athlete of the year for volleyball. Ross is working with Klineman from 2017. However, Ross's beach game was well-established long before the year. She's won big events twice, with various partners. A couple of those is an icon in the world of volleyball. Ross teamed up with Jennifer Kessy from 2007-2013, and was also Klineman's coach. Kessy was Ross's teammate at the 2009 World Championships. The 2012 Olympic Games, they were awarded the gold medal. They were knocked out of the gold medal by the legendary group comprised of Misty May-Treanor as well as Kerri Walsh (Jennings). Ross Jennings became Walsh Jennings partner in fate after Maytreanor's retirement. They were able to win the bronze medal in beach volleyball at the Rio Olympics in 2016. Ross participated in the Trojans of USC in her the college years following her graduation from high school. It was a successful performance for Ross during her time at the college level. As a freshmen in 2000, her play earned her the Pac-10 as well as NCAA the Freshman of the Year award. Also, she was one of the key players for helping the Trojans reach it to the Final Four. The second season of her career, she experienced a terrible personal loss and still earned the distinction of being an All-American. Over her final two years within the team, she guided the Trojans to the summit netting consecutive national championships. Ross was an excellent volleyball player, winning the Honda Sports Award in 2003-04 as the top female volleyball player in the NCAA. Ross, an USC international relations major, was a volleyball star. Margie Ross, Ross' mother, did not have the privilege of watching Ross' daughter blossom into the beach volleyball's biggest star. Ross suffered the loss of her mom to cancer of the breast in 2001. Ross was then a sophomore. As a result, Ross remains near to her mother who passed away. Also, Margie is an ongoing source of inspiration to her on the beach and in life.
