Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American actor, voice actress, director producer and vocalist. An attractive, clever and skilled actress, she's a great example to Asian actors who are aspiring to make it big in Hollywood. She gained fame after numerous popular roles in the series. In her role in the Ally McBeal series, where she portrayed Ling Woo the villainous character. Her sudden fame translated into movie roles, such as Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. For Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave an impressive performance in the role of Japanese crime boss O-Ren Ishii. Also, she portrayed leading characters in failed box office films like Rise: Blood Hunter. After that, she started to sing prominent characters for animation films, such as Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason's tiny screen role in Cashmere Mafia did not produce the desired results. Southland is a critically-acclaimed series of crime dramas that featured Liu in recurring roles, helped her reestablish her role as an actress. Liu takes great care in choosing her roles to ensure she doesn't get typecast. Though she's extremely proud of her culture but she doesn't let that limit her creativity.
